Yeh mages can cast stypid spell or cast spell to units where you dont whant to cast it.

but then you have to set units start other way or give other orders.

I took Wauthan's advice and switched to single target spells. And it worked! Yay! Thanks for that.

On another note, now that I've started paying closer attention to exactly what spells are targeted at what kind of opposition. It seems that (based on my addittedly limit experience) that it's usually one of the extremes. Either bLast chaff with area spells or target the biggest, baddest thing out there, which might very well be an enemy pretender with practically unbeatable magic resistance...

The does seem to be intelligent in the fact that it leaves routing enemies be if there are still fighting enemies left.
