..use the "Healing Gods" - mod for your next game. I use it in every game - don't like them dying from diseases etc. too.

And it actually makes the game 1,54% harder, as the AI regularly gathers afflictions on it's pretenders and seemingly doesn't have a clue how to get rid of them, if it notices at all. And there are many more AI pretenders, at least at the beginning http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif
