Heroic quickness rarely *doubles* the effect off 'normal' quickness. It starts, I think, at 50% quickness just like the W9 blessing, but can increase up 200+%, that is, a hero *without* normal quickness might cast 4 buffs/round.

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">oh wow . if your weapon has nbr of attacks 2 or even more and you have 200% quickness for 4 actions do you have 8 attacks per combat round then with a nbr of attacks 2 weapon ?

how far can you get then ? with special equipment to ~20 attacks / turn ?

pretenders don't get heroic abilities or ?

Hi,

I've got a question that's a little off-topic, but on-topic enough for this thread.

I'm playing Ermor in a multiplayer game and my immortal national hero, an undead wraith lord, died while out of my dominion so is permanently dead.

I was browsing the spell list while doing research and came across a spell that resurrects a hero from the HOF. Will this work on undead heroes? I don't see why not but don't want to spend the time and gems to research and cast the spell if it won't work on undead heroes.

Thanks for any help.

John

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Ritual of rebirth does not work on the undead. It does, however, work on previously rebirthed mummies.

i think he is anyway one of the most useful national hero's only the ermorian wraith lord hero and some of tien chi's heros come close http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

a question : i played around a bit with a vq now . i got once paralyzed for 30 rounds and then couldn't finish off the ermorian horde in the Last combat rounds totally . so she forcerouted . she didn't lose her items though .

so after 50 combatrounds when forceroute happens every sc who can retreat retreats or ? if he is e.g. paralyzed or fatigued out he dies or ?

if he is encircled strategycally that all sourrounding provinces are conquered by the enemy but is flying and routs will he then die or fly in a province farer away which he can reach through his strat movement ?

so when does a immortal commander lose his items and when does he die although he fights in friendly dominion ?
finally if your immortal pretender e.g. uses 2 weaponslots but gets the affliction lost one arm what happens then to him ?
if he would have an eye of aiming or something similiar and get the affliction lost one eye what would happen then ?

oh and a question to pangenea cw http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

does the priest level only affect number of reanimations or also the quality ? is the difference between carrion lady and lord only that the carrion lords reanimates some more or can only the carrion lord anymate the strongest carrion beasts ?

With regard to the quickness discussion below two questions:

1) Does the water path spell "Quickness" stack with Boots of Quickness and/or the heroic ability Quickness?

2) Someone mentioned 40 AP's or 80 AP's. How do you tell how many AP's your commander has?

Thanks,
John

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Not with boots, as boots 'casts' that spell on wielder. But it DOES stack with heroic quickness, and IIRC also with the W9 bless... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Movement is shown as Strategic/AP, I think. I am not sure and won't check it, I don't want to get stuck on the computer as it is late here. In any case, if you right-click where they are shown you will get more spesific window that shows, in percents, the effectiveness of heroic quickness. 50% and up.

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Pretty sure it's quantity, not quality. The carrion lord in theory (not positive because of the rounding mechanism) can get 1 more carrion critter than the lady.

Quality is affected by forests, temples in forests, and I think, forts + temples in forests. Also, mmm, a slightly better chance of higher quality for the Growth level in the province, also the Magic level. (These apply to the auto-generated carrion critters, I'm not sure about when the carrion lords / ladies / centaur reanimate.)
