I couldn't figure out how to control the thing.

I'm using Firefox and the game works. The controls are:

UP arrow on keyboard: thrust
LEFT and RIGHT arrows: turn ship
DOWN arrow: reverse thrust
SPACE BAR: fire

I don't know if there are any other controls. I'll have to experiment some more. Looks like a fun game. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

There's also the numbers 1 through 4 for choosing your weapons after you pick up some of the powerups.
