Re: OT: What is true victory
The question in my little thing was, Can there ever be true victory?
|
Re: OT: What is true victory
Do you mean true victory over the current enemy, terrorists?. Otherwise as I tried to convey destroying your enemy so that they no longer exist is a true victory as they will no longer ever be a threat again.

Re: OT: What is true victory
True victory will never come about. Why? Because even if you get rid of the problem, or your enemy, the idea of what they believed is still there. There will come someone in short order that will believe as they did and wish to carry out what they strived to accomplish. It is a never ending cycle. The only way to bring about true victory in that respect is to get rid of the idea that your problem/enemy held completely, but we know that is not possible with the power of mankind.

Re: OT: What is true victory
Actually, George Orwell found a solution to this problem of "idea never vanish". Just read 1984. Those who have read it, know what it takes. Not very pleasant world it would be.

Re: OT: What is true victory
I mean can there ever be true victory over all life not just your enemies, not just your goals, i mean all life, to understand all, to know all, to be omnipotent. To clarify, Is there any way to be Omnipotent in this life without useing technology.

Re: OT: What is true victory
Simply put: No.

Re: OT: What is true victory
Even with technology, you can't win against entropy.
|
Re: OT: What is true victory
Entropy is not a physical law, but a physical and energitic drift.
