Re: Can item induced afflictions recuperate/heal?
It always bugged me that you couldn't plop an eye into an empty eye socket. If someone's lost an eye already, you ought to be able to put in an Eye of Aiming (or other magical orb of your choice) without suffering the loss of the other eye... But no can do.

Re: Can item induced afflictions recuperate/heal?
That only makes sense if there are non-magical eyes left even after the eye loss. Eye of Aiming is not good enough for you to really see. Green Eye and other high-level items should, however, be a possibility. This would be a nice way to cure your blind Cyclops, too!

Re: Can item induced afflictions recuperate/heal?
Folks, I don't know from where you derive your ultimate wisdom, but Last time (yesterday) I put an eye of aiming on a one-eyed Commander of Ulm, it worked perfectly well.
It did not cure his one-eyed-ness, but that is not to be expected: Giving it to a perfectly healthy commander does result in an "lost an eye"-affliction, after all. But it did not cost him his second eye, either. So giving him the blue crystal eye let him end up as good as any other commander I could have given it too. |
Re: Can item induced afflictions recuperate/heal?
Calling it ultimate wisdom makes it sound so... important. Let's say it's my memory of what happened. Certainly fallible. But, maybe it's random into which socket the eye is placed; if it's the socket with an eye you've got only the eye of aiming, while if it's the other you're doing as well as your Commander of Ulm did.
