Its your game Cat start when you have the number you want. You wouldnt want to admit what flavour of ermor you are would you?

As far as I'm concerned, we can start right now. Pangaea being missing does give Ermor a bit of extra edge if we're playing with the fixed start locations, and the lack of T'ien Chi, Abysia and C'tis give the eastern nations, but especially Jotunheim a lot of expansion room.

If we're playing with random start locations, that won't be so much of a problem, but then I'll be screwed...

After Newbiegame3, there's no other word for this than "Masochistic", but count me in for T'ien Ch'i. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

If we went to random starting positions, then I'd prefer to have Abysia, but I really would rather not do that w/ fixed starting positions. And, Edi, why would you say you'll be screwed if it's random? Of course you know this map better than anyone, but as I recall the starting for Vanheim on the large Faerun, it wasn't all that great a starting position, anyhow.

I should be able to get my pretender up by midday tomorrow (Pacific time), although if we do decide to go w/ random positions, I'd like to know that before uploading.

Re: MP Game - Faerun Pirates

Actually, Vanheim's starting position is relatively good (unless the game assigns all of the provinces there as small ones, which would crimp income). It's safe from immediate attack from all but Atlantis and/or CotS Marignon, and they have sailing troops. The Dwarven Smiths are kind of stuck on the islands, but that's a minor tradeoff. I'm not experienced in playing Vanheim at all, so I thought I might as well try.

Then again, if my assumptions turn out wrong (I've never tried Vanheim on either Faerun map), I'll be getting my just desserts, no?

Well, I'd vote for fixed positions, in any case. I think other than Abysia, they work out pretty well, anyhow. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

I don't see an option for fixed/random start locations on the Moshansen page. We could choose a different map or fill in the blank spots with hard AIs.

Also, any preferences on common/rare random events?

We are going to start in about 24 hours, so express your opinions now.
