Never knew the average (excuse me for using this term) American actually had a bunker in their backyard. Is this common?

Basement, tornado cellar, root cellar, its all various levels. Nahhh my dad would have been the one to do that. My generation tended to move to wilderness areas and take up homesteading.

Timstone, about the American eating style.

Believe me it is even worse than we Dutch expect.
I lived in Florida for 6 months, and a few weeks with an American girl. Ho wait,

Didn't say that, But my experience is that a lot of people in the states have an VERY unhealthy eating habit.
But I think you know that already.

BTW. the same problems are starting with kids in Holland also, less fruit more mcDonalds.........
