Several months ago, I took Fyron's advice and switched from Exploder to Firefox. I'm very happy that I did. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

This sounds to much like a commercial. I say we shoot Fyron and Kamog.

We don't have guns. Only

The might do the trick, but it's pretty difficult to use them effectively without some form of directional control. I would go with

Oh, and Firefox is cool. Have a

Im using mozilla since a while now, and i have to say its really THAT much better than Netscape or IE. It has a load of nice options, is smaller and loads faster. In addition it seems to be less attackable, though that could be because most hackers focus on IE since it has more Users.

Though I usually reject this kind of advertising, I have to agree with Fyron. I changed my browser to Firefox Last spring because I grew too annoyed with pop ups with IE and I have been very satisfied since. Also I like especially the interleves ability which IE lacks, for it allows me to have several sites open concurrently without browser processes eating all of my RAM and also this "gray balk" where all Windows programs are wisible, is not too crowded.

I don't know about Opera or Lynx or other browsers. They might be as good as Firefox, but this beats IE and Netscape 10-0.

Re: OT: Spread Firefox

The latest Firefox is the 1.0 'Preview Release' which is what they used to call a 'release candidate' -- i.e. a final beta which might be confirmed as 1.0 if no serious bugs turn up. If there are problems they fix them and release another 'almost final' Version.

It's a good idea to go with the very latest because a lot of security fixes have been made to both Firefox and the Mozilla suite lately. Just got Mozilla 1.7.3 Last week which fixes several security holes. As more people use Mozilla/Firefox these security fixes will be more important because more hackers will be targetting these browsers.

I will take back what I said before. It's a pretty nice program. After the initial crash and denuncation, I gave it another try with much better results.
