It looks like you might have some sort of periodic driver conflict from your Mobo. It wouldn't be the first time that has happened with an Asus board.

I've been living with it for far too long myself!

Hmm. The more I look at the text you posted - what is this computer TRIPLEJLY?

Upon further investigation, TripleJLy is the name of my flatmate's computer.

Does your computer on a wireless network? Perhaps he's trying to borrow your internet connection without your knowledge?

Fyron, your MB my be going bad. ASUS has sold a lot, and I do mean a lot, of bad Boards in the Last three years. The chances are pretty good that yours if failing.

The same thing happened to me when my ASUS board failed in 2000. The computer would just reboot. I then went to an MSI mother board and well, we know how that turned out.

Check to see if there is any info about ASUS MB failures that mirror your problem. I am pretty sure it is the MB that is causing the issue.

Re: Periodic Rebootings...

If the motherboard was going bad, it would seem to reason that random hardware failures would occur, not just reboots at 2 day intervals...

Maybe there's something wrong with your flatmates computer that is messing up your local network, causing windows to crash.

Also, have you checked for bad RAM?
