I didn't like GalCiv either - played the demo. I didn't like the movement system, amongst other things.

Competition is always good, hopefully it'll spur aaron to make SE5 even greater.

But this looks more like an eyecandy review instead of a game review.

Now I cannot speak for the other moderators, but I guess if it were up to me, we could view this post on its face value, that being a news advisory, but in the same sense the moderator in me is more than a little bit irked by it.

So I guess the best course would be to say thanks for the info, but in the future, please refrain from making these kinds of advertising posts.

Thanks

I apologize. My intention was not to "advertise" GalCiv, merely warn. I will in the future either refrain from this type of post, or include enough personal commentary and/or other valuable content to make it more than merely an "advertisment".

Thank you Atari, the info you did post was quite interesting. I do look forward to this year with the both GC2 an SE5 coming out.

One big point made in the article: No multi-player, maybe added in a future expansion. For all it's glitz if it can't do any type of multi-player then SEV will beat it hands down.

I won't be buying it then, I won't buy Expansions for Games just because they rushed the game out originally. Patches I Don't Mind, but Expansions are just patches that you get charged for. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

Saying that I was playing the Political Machine which was also released by Stardock, and I'm using Windowsblinds on my pc, so far I'm impressed by their software.

But SEV for me, I have a student budget, And I know which out the two I would buy http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif
