yes if your in the beta you cannot win a beta slot or a copy of the game.

Randellw cannot win any of the gift certs except the shrapnel one.

I'm sorry to say I will not be able to make it to the 4pm draw in irc #spaceempires. I found out I have a prior engagement. I might be able to sneak in, but chances are I'll not make it. Since I'll be out of town and nowhere near a computer. I expect to be back sometime in the early evening, but even that is not a guarantee.
