Search for "movement days" in the FAQ.

Re: Movement Chart Speed 18

The FAQ needs a copy of all charts and tables in an appendix, methinks. Or, at least a list of titles with section references.

Thanks for the movement for speed 18, that really helps.

Re: Movement Chart Speed 18

This was not as easy as it would seem. By the time I maneuver and arrive at my destination they are only one sector behind. But that is all I need.

Would have been better if the extra movement was spread out more evenly.

Thanks for help. Long live the Ashark Imperium

Getting out of the corner safely should not be a problem.

Edit: Hmm, examining the chart, it appears that emergency propulsion works in a very non-intuitive way. Rather than simply calculating movement days as normal with the total movement available instead of the base, the normal movement schedule for the base speed is simply modified by cramming all the extra moves in as early as possible after the first normal speed move.

It sometimes suprises me not at all that I have not yet won a PBW game...

That's not the speed 18 chart - it's the speed 13+5 chart.

As douglas wrote, Emergency Propulsion gets a ship moving at speed 30 for the first days, and thereafter using up its movement points 1/day until it gets back on the usual schedule for its speed. Kinda weird, but makes a little sense for emergency propulsion. What happens, I wonder, if you exceed speed 30 through modding...

Re: Movement Chart Speed 18

>30 means one move every day, and you waste the excess movement points.
