When I spoke of comparison to reality it was with a "general state" of the country, BTW countrys who are always at war since 1950: Israel, Chechnia ...etc..., countrys with conscripts ad modern training: Germany, Spain, US , country with professional army UK, Switzerland, France, ...etc... and also depending on the army size: for BTW UK's army is small and so can be exeptionnaly well trained...
Naturaly that's hard work and it will stay mistakes but less I think...

Hmm. I seem to have missed the french going professional, thanks for the info.
Doesn't that mean that their base experience should (from '97 on) be 75 instead of 70?

Hey,if you can really change the overall exp rating over the years http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/eek.gif, then why bother with having two separate sets of units?
You'll just have to take conscripts into account in these ratings, and raise them sharply at the date the country loses draft.

Yes, it would be better, there is only a weak point, I believe, it's only possible to modify for each decade... That's not very important, just another approximation...

loktarr you are right about Royal Marines. They are a brigade size (they call themselves a Regiment) force. I am a former US Marine and let me assure you it's hard to admit it, but the RMs are hard-core bad-asses and I never met one that I thought I could take one-on-one.

Germany is to stop conscription in 2006? They are working on it, but they won't admit it. In fact, with new elections pending, and the conservatives as the likely next winners http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/Sick.gif , it gets increasingly unlikely conscription will be gone soon: some of those boneheads still are thinking in terms of 1950, or even 1898 ...

Germany has been hesitating on this for quite some time now, right?

But right now, what is the proportion of conscripts anyway? What with so many people turning to civil service and so on, I guess there are some pretty good professional units around by now, in KRK at least, particularly among Jägers?

22.732 conscripts who volunteered for longer period of service (no civil job available...)

Fallschirmjäger (Paratroopers) of Fallschirmjägerbataillon 261 and 263 where '93 send to Somalia (UNOSOM), '94-'00 to Balkan, '02/'03 to Afghanistan. Surely, they are way better trained than some Panzergrenadiere ...

All information posted here are interresting and can help a better country training, feel free to give informations about armys that seem not to got the proper experience values, even "minor" (meaning if you are from a not really on this community represented country).
Could some moderator tell us what he thinks of changing country trainings?

As stated early on in this thread, Country training numbers are a "sensitive" issue. I have been through this every year for nearly 8 years and I'll say what I always say. .... If I gave those lists to 100 people to put in what they feel are the "correct" values for all the nations we have in the game I would get 100 different lists back and the "debate" would never end.

If players feel the numbers for the Legion are too low you can adjust them with MOBHack. The Legion has myths attached to it that may or may not be true in reality . We built those numbers for all the nations then went over and over them and feel they are reasonable but we also know there will be people who disagree. (See my remark about 100 people and 100 different lists ) http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif We accept that.

We give people the tools ( MOBHack) to make adjustments if need be. If anyone feels a formation needs a boost they have the tools to do that but rest assured not everyone will agree. We tried to be as fair as possible and always have with the numbers we put in the game.
