Re: OT: Dropping out of warp
LOL, that was really good http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

A. Engineering officer B. Disposable bridge crew (seveal of these) C. At least one person Honor is buggered about D. A huge chunk of the crew. Then honor will lose an eye, leg, something like that. Then she'll win with some fairly basic tactical trick which, never the less, shocks the hell out of the Borg. Borg. "What is this 'Pincer' movement? We've never encountered it ever and so we are unable to respond. Lo! We are undone." |
Re: OT: Dropping out of warp
I ran out and bought Armada II back in 2000 and was utterly dissapointed by it. The graphics sucked compared to the previous game. I later learned that the graphics were reduced in quality so that older machines could run them. BOOOOOO!
Never played it again after the first day. |
Re: OT: Dropping out of warp
Who cares about graphics? the possibility to play with the borg or species 8472 is great!
|
Re: OT: Dropping out of warp
Well, those graphics aren't bad. Those Borg cubes are a bit hard to see when there's too much light reflecting off the monitor. What are those bluish planet-looking things? Are they ships, too?
|
Re: OT: Dropping out of warp
Well as you said, bluish planets! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif actually the zoom is a bit far maybe thats why the borg cubes are hard to see. light reflecting off the monitor??? where? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif

Re: OT: Dropping out of warp
The glowing blue things are minable moons or some such planetary body.
|
Re: OT: Dropping out of warp
They are planets as the borg you can assimilate them (or colonize, oh, yes you can colonize planets, with the fed. or other races you can only colonize them i think), and mine them for metals, there are also dilitium moons (not on the screenshot) but are smaller i think they are also blue, there's also latinum (i dont know how to write it) nebulas.
