Re: OT: Warhammer 40k
Worry not Strategia, my plans for global domination are well on track and a new world order is just around the corner. And if you think things are bad now... Heh.
Course you won't have to worry about corporate greed anymore since I'll be lining up all the CEOs against a wall and shooting them. As soon as I find a big enough wall. I wonder if the Great Wall would do... Maybe if I used both sides... I'll have to look into that. I'm sorry, this thread was about what now? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif Oh yeah, thanks guys. I've done some tentative poking around and it looks like while I'm probably in for a whole lotta reading, I should be able to get what I'm after. |
Re: OT: Warhammer 40k
Hey Agent Zero don't shoot one executive for me, she's the mom of a girl I want and I don't think that would put her daughter in a good mood lol
All the others a free game, start with Trump please http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif Now as far as Warhammer goes yeah it's got an interesting but very depressing for humanity as a whole with very little hope for our survival. But for the most part the IoM kicks *** and takes names just enough to hold on for a few more centuries so it's interesting. |
Re: OT: Warhammer 40k
Yes, well, I don't know what 3 years you were buying those minis, but the prices of GW minis have increased drastically in the last few years. I remember when I first got into space marines, maybe 4 years ago, a box of 10 cost $20. Now it costs $35.
So, I did a little checking and basicly in order to get into the game you need about $180. This will buy you the basic starter box for the Space Marines, the rule book, and your codex. This assumes that you already have all the dice and other stuff you need to play. This will allow you to build a very limited 500 pt army which is about the smallest game you can get people to agree to play. Other armies have starter boxes as well, but they are not actually complete armies, which means you will have to at least buy one HQ unit to feild them. Like I said, I used to play the game, but now I seek other options. It is just too expensive. |
