I've always liked Religious and Organic together. Ships can be built much faster using organic weapons, and the Replicant centers do wonders for your production, just takes a while to get them. The shrines from the religious trait are very nice, especially the one that increases the value of planets. Then, if you survive long enough theres the tailsman.
