If it wasn't for all of you (very talented scenario testers) and for your determination, dedication and your crucial suggestions then nothing of what exists today would be possible. The creation of a scenario is an interactive activity and the designer gets a lot of his inspiration and motivation from his relationship with the scenario-testers. I think that we have all learned a couple of new things by doing this painful process (like for example...never again volunteer to test any of Pyro's scenarios...LOL) http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif cheers, Pyros p.s My only request from all the scenario-testers (which BTW are also proven scenario designers) is to try and design (even a single one) scenario for the next update of the ANZAC campaign (sometime after September). I swear that I will do my best as a scenario-tester! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif |
Re: Link for the ANZAC Project Diary
Pyros,
I'm very excited about your soon-to-be-released campaign ! I've played some turns of your Kalpaki scenario (didn't have time to get far) and it's totally refreshing, challenging and innovative ! It's a real pleasure to still get new thrills with this old SP dog ! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif |
Re: Link for the ANZAC Project Diary
Merci PDF,
I hope that you will have the same good feelings toward me once your beloved veteran core force units become trapped by an AI encircle maneuver... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/shock.gif Here is the first hint of the campaign: During your first boost for core points I strongly advise you to buy a section of 6 in (on-map) artillery guns along with a section of ammo trucks. Here is the second hint of the campaign: Use scouts and set their reaction range to 1. These units might save you from some very unpleasant surprises. cheers, Pyros |
Re: Link for the ANZAC Project Diary
Gentlemen,
We are working hard to get everything ready (first version) by the 29th of July. cheers, pyros |
Re: Link for the ANZAC Project Diary
Pyros,
My apologies for being AWOL for almost all of your project. My only excuse is that the ADF has been a little “busy” lately (esp. as it now looks in some quarters as we may re-visit the sites of some of our First World War battle honours - like Gaza, Romani, Beersheba, [and points further North] ... albeit with Blue Helmets on this time). Is there anything I can do at this late stage - apart from raise a glass to you and your band of merry men (women)? |
Re: Link for the ANZAC Project Diary
Hi Mark,
There is always time for contributing to the campaign... I just need you to playtest me this 90 turns battle on this huge map against those 500 AI units within the next 10-12 hours...LOL Seriously, there will be a second part of the campaign after September, so if you wish you may participate to the project during that designing session. cheers, Pyros |
Re: Link for the ANZAC Project Diary
Where’s the link?

Re: Link for the ANZAC Project Diary
Ah yes, I read that.
I meant where is the link to the “90 turns battle on this huge map against those 500 AI units within the next 10-12 hour”. |
Re: Link for the ANZAC Project Diary
LOL... which one? The are many battle like this one!
Anyway, if you wish to playtest a sample battle, I have one in mind that may need some extra evaluation. Please send me a valid email address (that accepts zip files) to PYROS@ath.forthnet.gr and I will send you the test files. But keep in mind that you must submit a report in less than 24 hours (play as much as you can)!! cheers, Pyros |
