Just a nit-pick, fusion drives are more advanced that Ion Engines (Which we have and use today)... Fission Rockets are about the same "level", the diffrence is speed to fuel usage... The Nuclear Engine I think your refering to is an ORION ENGINE, they are fairly fast, good on fuel but increadibly expensive! Chemicle Rockets would be the first "engine" used in a primitive line, the speed is good but fuel consumption should be at least 10x that of ion!

OK, just a status update:

I've scrapped the semi-prmitive section. Right now I'm working backwards from the SE4 tech tree; once I've dropped it down to High-tech primitive starting levels, I'll post a beta for people to check out.
