He this map looks like a great idea http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif. You might heavily edit the nations and transform it into a roguelike scenario. 60 nations = 60 stages to beat. Could be very fun http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

I was thinking of finding one I liked and declaring the entire map as #nostart except for one end. Or maybe each end. That way you get one of the safer locations and can concentrate on fighting your way across the map. Maybe using the victory points thing.

Also it seems like a map like this would be easy to wrap. Making kindof a ringworld scenario.

If there are no restrictions on map shape someone could do a map thats like 50x4800, and wrap it, though borders at the top would be needed, unless you can now do a one way wrapped map. I might try that, It'd be kinda fun to play a huge game where everyone can fight only two or three people. (except for teleporting)
