The zip file in the "Space Empires: IV - Modding and other Help Tools/Information" archive has been updated (same name: SE4 Modders Guide). Link to the first 'Modding Tools' Archive page: http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/For...ML/000019.html

The "SE4 Modders Guide" is an edited compilation of threads from the forum. It is a "work in progress".

Comments and additions or corrections are welcomed here.

Revision 10 June 2001: Updated 'AI_DesignCreation' descriptions from Atraikius' excellent 'Cheet Sheet.doc' (with permission). Also added some new discussion under this topic; added UmberGryphon's analysis of the Anger and Politics files to the 'DIPLOMACY AI FILES' topic. Added new topics and sub-topics -

It was just there when I looked. Just click on the link he provided it was the third item on the page. The posted date was 21 May and he has edited it a number of times, that may have thrown you as he indicated a revision 10 June date which was the Last edited date and not the date of the post.

Sorry for the sparseness. Most effort went into the Strategy Guide this week.

Revision 24 June 2001: Clarified that "Population Required to Operate One Facility" in "Settings.txt" is disabled; added some discussion about weapon families under "Components.txt"; guesses about use of "Race Opt X" entries in "AI_General" files. Added new topics and sub-topics:
