Note the use of the word “hopefully”.

2 missions a week will take 14 weeks.

Plus a month for final testing

And a month to fix the little things

Makes 6 months or 31 July 2004

But they keep saying that the other games are profitable – so 6 months becomes 18 months so they can feed their family.

June 2005 is a realistic date. A slippage from June 2000.

Amusing post...2005?

Tim, you need to weigh in here and be a more frequent visitor to the forum...maybe answer more questions and promote the game more. That would help alot I think. Feels like this board is empty.

To answer an earlier post, it is not about chilling out. It is about concern over if this is still going to be a game that gets released and when (especially when the when part seems to slip so much).

Looking at the Posts going back, it seems the progress is really slow. I was trying to understand why this bugs me and I guess it just boils down to what the game could potentially be, and the fact that 101 was really innovative - I want to see the follow up. Thing is, you just get impatient.

Another thing, look at Coliseum and the support and communication there - brillant and a good game to boot (I did buy it and love it!). I mean that guy (Derek) is going at this heart and soul and that is really winning me over in terms of feeling like Coliseum is important to both the gamer and the company selling it.

Please just finish 82nd.

Rusty

There has been an announcement of a new game - The Falklands War.

That is due in early 2005.

Food for thought.

We need a few playtesters starting mid February if anyone is interested. E-mail Richard Arnesen.

Sorry guys for the delays, but I have to run the company and 98% of what remnains to be done is my work. With sales in the Last 3 months equaling our sales for the previous 7 months, you can see why we have been busy...

Tim,

Thanks for the update! I've been waiting for 82nd since it was first announced, and I was a big fan of 101st.

Is there any chance that you could supply more frequent screenshots and updates as the scenario testing moves forward? It would really whet our appetites, as well as convincing the doubtful that the game is indeed to be.

Thanks again.

Better than that. After we get the first mission tested, there will be a demo made available. Coming soon!

“Nine campaigns, encompassing twenty seven missions. Nine primary missions and eighteen secondary missions. Take the bridgeheads over the Merderet River and much more! “

Twenty seven missions at 2 missions per week = 13.5 weeks, rounded up to 14 weeks.

Perhaps he meant to say “campaigns”

Glad to see this game is not dead http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif , I thought Last year was going to be a great year for war games (Harpoon IV, 82nd Airbone, and War in the Pacific). Instead Harpoon was cancelled, War is the Pacific was pushed out to who knows when, and 82nd Airbone seem to fall off the map.

Let's hope this year will be a better year for wargames!!!
