Heh, speaking of getting sued, you might not want to put a disclaimer to members of the community located in Germany - isn't it illegal to possess Nazi flags there? Possessing one even in digital form I imagine might be quite dangerous...

Yeah, but noone in Germany can sue Mark over it; he isn't subject to such repressive anti-freedom laws. (unless he is actually German)

I thought Germany gave up its repressive anti freedom ways after the Nazi were defeated. To say you cannot own a Nazi flag, a part of German history, well its like saying country folk, and red necks, cannot own the Confederate flag. Its unthinkable!

Wait until the ACLU and other anti white hate pro-kill whity racist groups get wind of the idea that you can BAN a flag. They will jump on the "ban the confederate flag" band wagon so fast that it'll seem like they had scram jets on.

I wouldn’t label it as repressive; each culture is entitled to their own mores even if we [Americans] don’t agree with any repression; even those born from a stigma.

They tried and won with restrictions against the State, but not the people! Each individual American is free to fly the CSA flag even if your neighbor wants to shot you for it.

It has nothing to do with mores; it is the very definition of repression (2 a : a mental process by which distressing thoughts, memories, or impulses that may give rise to anxiety are excluded from consciousness and left to operate in the unconscious b : an item so excluded). Nazi memorabilia is distressing, and they seek to repress the memories of WWII atrocities by erasing the presence of its historical artifacts. German social mores may generally find that particular repression acceptable, but it doesn't change the fact that it is repression. But this is getting way off topic from the point of this thread...

The thing about Nazi symbolism is that much of it has significant historical value long before the Nazi's twisted it into symbolism of evil.

I however wouldn't want to see a flag for SE V that has anything to do with Nazism.

There are over 300 ship sets out for SE IV, many with very cool race emblems that would be great adaptations for SE V.
