Re: Semi OT: Strange Coincedence?
The Old Testament was written in Hebrew (and a couple parts in Aramaic). Hebrew is written left-to-right, top-to-bottom.
The New Testament was written in Greek. Greek is written left-to-right, top-to-bottom. This was originally written without spaces, and without punctuation (and I think in all capital letters, though I'm not 100% sure). The Septuagint was a translation of the Old Testament into Greek done prior to the writing of the New Testament. |
