It's not something you do for long periods of time, but the one-turn hit is not usually too bad compared to the rewards.

Try F2 to, so you know if you should mess with a certain nation if you stumble onto it. Another good nation to learn on is EA Ulm. Use Archers until you can buy the archers with armor- I can't remember what they're called. As being new, too, I have a question. How many men do I put on seige, so I can move out and take other enemy provinces-to prevent armies from crushing my seigers?

I tend to prefer having everyone seiging the castle. I only take nearby provincs if they seem undefended. Id rather the enemy bounced off of all of my units in the castle province plus it speeds up the taking of the castle.
By the way, while seiging you can change the taxes. I tend to turn it to 200 to get the most good out of it. Plus, if I drive the unrest over 100, and he gets it back, he cant build anything there until he patrols the unrest down. |
