Probably you know, 2B9 Vasilek it is an automatic mortar, instead of AT-gun.
But HEAT shells for it also are available, as this mortar can shoot on a direct trajectory.

Mortars Calibre of 82 mm ordinarily are considered as arms of infantry, the 82-mm 2B9 "Cornflower" should be carried an automatic mortar to a category of artillery arms. First of all it is caused by fighting rate of fire 2B9, having very high value - up to 100 shots in a minute (rate of shooting makes 120 shots in a minute), and also its opportunity to fire a straight line and, thus to carry out the problem of artillery support and struggle with armored targets.
Ordinarily 2B9 it is established on the easy wheel gun carriage reminding a gun carriage of an easy field gun, equipped by beds and the pallet. In the middle the trunk is fixed in the rotating device similar to a drum, carrying out a role of the machine tool. The receiver of an ammunition of store type provides submission of 82-mm of mines from holders on four mines, inserted on the right. 2B9 can conduct hinged fire on an abrupt trajectory as a mortar, thus mines are charged manually from a barrel, or on a direct trajectory as the easy anti-tank gun (there is a sight for a direct aiming) with use to charge automatic fire through a state part from shop. In completion to all at to charge from a barrel there are three various types of throwing charges, but at to charge from a state part a charge unified. Force of feedback is absorbed by the hydroamortisation system established around of a trunk.
The 82-mm a mortar "Cornflower" also is established on self-propelled the chassis; the most widespread is installation in a body of 2-ton lorry GAZ-66 4×4. One more variant is installation of "Cornflower" on a cargo platform of in appropriate way modified caterpillar conveyor MT-LB. Hungary lets out a similar variant of the self-propelled installation also collected on the chassis of advanced conveyor MT-LB.
2B9 "Cornflower" is capable to fire in standard 82-mm an ammunition to a mortar; the weight of a mine makes about 3,1 kg. For shooting a straight line to aim on armored targets the special mine with a cumulative warhead is developed. The maximal range at shooting on a hinged trajectory makes 4200 meters.

The unit you are referring to is MT-LB/2B9 unit number 591. The version in the Ukranian OOB is set up with Heat shells. The Russian and Hungarian versions are now set up the same way as well.

Formation 265, Formations 266 "Vasilek" it is classified as " Light AT-gun ".

I suggest to make a class "Mortar".
As it first of all a mortar. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/cool.gif

For example, in artillery of a battalion there are mortars the battery, where 6 Mortars 2B14 "Podnos" and 3 Mortar 2B9 "Vasilek" (strukture MSD-92).

P.S.: MT-LB + 2B9 "Vasilek" used in Afgan war.
P.P.S.: BMP-1 + 2B9 "Vasilek" Manual alteration + 5 pages Cool Photo Armour in Afgan War.

There are two versions of the Vasilek weapon in the current OOB. One (used on the MT-LB) has a range of 5km and can be used for indirect fire. Weapon number 29 has a shorter range and represents only direct-fire, line of sight fire (using HEAT shells). Unit 588 represents this use of the Vasilek as direct support only.

Re: Russian OOB - Scouts special forces - structur

It's one of the limitations of the game that has to be worked around. As I mentioned, the Ukrainian OOB has had the HEAT rounds assigned to the MT-LB/2B9 for who knows how long. Probably since it was designed. So far, it's not been an issue. Extreme range LOS are rarely a serious issue because it's rare to get a clear shot to the extreme range so mostly everything "works" I'll run some tests with this on the weekend and then decide what to do.

" ...the 82-mm 2B9 "Cornflower"... "
And Tulpan, Gvozdika, Akatsiya. The Russian gives flower-power a new meaning.
