Re: A severe problem
The problem I have with spells like Horror Mark is that if it works, you won't have the fun of killing him. He'll just disappear one day. Against an AI, that's no fun. Against a human maybe you get to hear him scream.

Re: A severe problem
Thank you for all the hints - as it turned out, the situation wasn't as looming as it appeared to be... The SC was taken down quite easily with a dozen of longdeads and a wraith lord (the SC escaped though, but since he had nowhere to run he was as good as killed) and I somehow succeeded in destroying Agartha too (assassinated the pretender with an earth elemental, conquered most of their territory).

Re: A severe problem
Congrats on the victory!
Funnily enough, I find myself as MA Man in an strangely similar situation. Jotun is attacking my lands with an awake Son of Niefel on Turn 5. I'm hoping there's a water mage in that game who will be kind enough to exchange rings with me. Either that, or I'll pray that Hannibal shows up for hire with a band of Woolly Mammoths. |
Re: A severe problem
Can Son of Niefel be trampled? Isn't he a size 6 unit?
Oh, and is there a way to fend off those uber-horrors when they appear? Does a SC even stand a chance against them? |
Re: A severe problem
Hannibal doesn't have woolly mammoths. It's a joke. But if he did, they would last longer than infantry, since at least they are big and have cold resist.
I will try a Ring of Frost on a Cyclops, and hope he fights me in my domain. Or makes peace http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif. |
