		 Well, if side effects are accessible, you could create a spell that kills one of your own units (or the caster) and then summons something. 
	This obviously would not be permanent, the monster would vanish at end of combat - and I don't think the new monster would show up in the same place but I could be wrong. Presently it is impossible but that it at least possible in principle.  |

		or just make it recruitable, but if its summons you want, make it a special kind of niefel that needs to be summoned, cause its a hunter of the long dead fire giants or some such and carry s one of the mythical ice blades! that requires magical gems to create, be creative.

		I kind of was thinking the same thing, but I figure it would be such a powerful spell that I'd rather it required a price in terms of gold/resources.
