Re: OT: George Lucas Calls \'Spider-Man 3\' Silly
I'm not entirely certain why Lucas thinks we care what he thinks about the movie.
I went to see it yesterday, and I quite enjoyed it, with a few exceptions. I do think they should have focussed on at most two villains rather than the three they did, especially as Brock's descent into villainhood was quite abrupt. Also when Spider-man went all black and evil, they came perilously close to ruining that part of the movie with its emo-ness, just as the third installment of X-men was ruined by the emo-ish villains. But besides those two points, I thought it was well done and enjoyed it thoroughly. |
Re: OT: George Lucas Calls \'Spider-Man 3\' Silly
Well you have to understand that George Lucas considered his movies, especially PM, AOTC, and ROTS to be serious dramatical family friendly movies. So when he calls Spider Man silly, well then, it must really really be one silly *** movie.
Just look at the dialog in AOTC's and then think about George Lucas calling another movie silly. And ya, George please explain Jar Jar! |

Well, when a daddy gungan and a mommy gungan love each other very much (And do copious quantities of weed)...

Re: OT: George Lucas Calls \'Spider-Man 3\' Silly
Haven't you heard, there are no mommy Gungans. Did you see any in the movies? They're all Hermaphrodite or something. Seriously.

Re: OT: George Lucas Calls \'Spider-Man 3\' Silly
I really don't think GL gave a rats *** about the scripts, I think he looks at these last three movies as his own personal private joke on the rest of the world. "See I made S**t and people still paid millions to see them. Ha ha ha ha ha ... ha ha ha Spiderman was silly."

I saw Spider-Man 3 last night and I thought that it was pretty good. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
