Back to the crone :
You could get her in the middle of ennemy lines, leave her surrounded by ennemy forces, deployed way back with a retreat order : she'll die retreating in ennemy territory, not gaining any afflictions in the process.

Do not forget there is a chance of getting a boost to your death magic when you are re-born. Depending on your situation, you may want to cast twice born on someone who already has high death magic in the hope of getting another level.

I don’t have any official figures, but it seems the boost comes around 30% of the time. Not enough to count on, but still worthy of consideration.

I would love to see the Shadow Blast and Nether Darts for that Crone. For fun, set her up in a communion, give her a couple of Death boosting items and lift the D value to 15 or 16. Just don’t do it in our game against me!
