When I first noticed that above bug and loaded Skaven to see if it affected all mods, I had all units from both Skaven and Marverni in my recruitment screen, so I'm guessing it's a matter of same nation numbers?

Yep, a nation number conflict. There might be other conflicts as well. I try to make sure my mods don't conflict with each other and a few other ones that I'm familiar with in the same age,...
It's fairly easy to 'fix' if you want the mods working together. Especially if it's just the nation number. |

But even Sombre's Mod List doesn't list the nation mod numbers. |
