A 10 hour stint? :O Have you played any MMOs by any chance? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif That's what we ended up doing in WoW..... it's fun now and again, but painful as well. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

I definitely believe in the "gaming night" concept, with a session of 3-4 hours perhaps. But I wouldn't feel comfortable committing to, or asking others to commit to anything longer than a 4 hour stretch. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif The unfortunate part being that the Dom3 community seems to be mostly made of people with families, and other obligations, so the PBEM standard works great for them. Not sure if we can get 8 people locked into a 3-4 hour time slot, but I'd love to see it happen! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Okay, I just was just testing the waters. 3 to 4 hour game sets is fine by me. what ever is resonable to a crew of gamers. just hard core as far as my style. its the timing thats the problem. how i would start a game is to arrange a time that we can set beforehand. as you say this has to worked out with family, ect. for example; i available 10am to 8pm on sundays. (west coast) some breaks for food and other stuff ect. if we can compile a time and day for people to play it would rock. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif Bwaha

Well if it's 4 hours, we shouldn't need much in the way of "breaks" really. Maybe once an hour take 5 for biological functions? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif Obviously most people would want it to occur away from dinnertime specifically, so the most logical time slots available would either be something like 12-4pm, or 7-11pm. I'm sure people can volunteer others, but just figuring something along those lines would accommodate most people with typical patterns. I wouldn't mind something that ended up running through normal dinner hours, I'm just anticipating other people objecting to it. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

West coaster here. I'd be up for an occasional "semi-blitz" I'd guess Sun nights might be best as they are normally pretty dead otherwise.

Ahh. I am in Dallas, Tx, But only two hours off from west coast time. I might be tempted. I have definitely played my share of 4 hour games.

Just name your potential time slots folks, we'll find the time that works best for the most people. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Re: semi blitz

I would love to partake but could only play two turns a day right now, since I'm on the road. I could play faster if we waited until ~15th July to play (I will be home then).

I will bookmark this thread.

potential times for me, in PST:

PLAY 9am - 1pm

WORK 2pm - 9pm

PLAY 10pm - 2am

the PLAY part I have available basically everyday. many days I could possibly fit in during the WORK time, because its a very part time job (simple summer job) and I have quite a few days off.
