yah, but they have 2 attacks each, and good str... I was disbelieving at first, but the double claws did it. Similarly, i've had a kitted bane-lord killed by monkey pd :)

My best unlikely result was 5 points of monkey PD killing a Heliophagus. Not something you see every day :)

Re: Hilariously unlikely combat

One time I was attacking Marignon as Shinuyama. It was pretty early in the game and I had a tough little army of O-Bakemono and kappas approaching their capital. Then, suddenly, Marignon's pretender, a sacred statue with astral and air magic, dropped onto my army and attacked it, alone.

With its stone body and protective magic, the statue was just a little too tough for my army to destroy, though the kappas did manage to give it a nice limp with their bone-breaking ability. So they just swung and clawed at it until its constant shock waves finally got it through their heads that their effort was futile. By then there were not many left; a few Bakemono and several kappas fled, and most of these were picked off by mind burns.

But then... the kappas dried up. They naturally gain fatigue when fighting on land, and all of them hit 100 at about the same time. The sacred statue continued frantically blasting them with mind burns or lightning or some such, but it wasn't beating them very quickly, and soon the 50-round limit arrived. The statue routed--but it was still a statue and so it still could not move. And neither could my kappas. So, 25 rounds later, the statue, Marignon's pretender god, simply disintegrated.

Re: Hilariously unlikely combat

once i got the red demon-samurai hero, so i started to create a red demon samurai only army,
while doing this Dagon attacked my capital, destoyng all defending armies but losing all of his own soldiers at the same time.
i send my hero to attack dagon but forgot to give him an army, so when i watch the battle i started with an "oh sheet".
Then...
Rdsh was ordered to wait*5 then attack,so what i saw was this giant toad/fish moving forward to my hero that was immobile, dagon attacked, hero dodged an then he hitted 5 times in a row, cutting one arm one eye last arm, last eye than killed dagon, all while dagon was furosly tring to hit him.

it was like power ranger zord combo

Here's one of mine from Kingmaker:

Utgard's "Employee of the Month" award goes to Sigmund, the PD1 commander (a 12 HP Herse) who fought off some Atlantean raiders in one of those battles that are so unlikely they fall into the ridiculous category.

He first withstood a Bladewind, then while fighting 3 guys at the same time - killed a merman and chased off an Atlantian militia and Shambler, then dodged a cold bolt from a 2 star Mage of the Deep from 2 squares a way, ran up to the mage who, was then at Protection 26 (after invulnerability), and smote him down with 2 blows.

Sigmund's family will be receiving a free turkey for his efforts.

I had an MP game where I was EA Agartha and got rushed by Niefleheim. As one force ploughed towards my capital, a second batch behind went for some other provinces. This second group (4 E6N9 Nief giants led by a priest) hit one of my province with a mere 5PD. My 10 plucky pale ones surged forwards, and in the second turn's combat killed one Niefel giant outright and inflicted about 40-50HP damage to a second. The giants promptly routed, battle over.
