Yeah, but when I wrote my post it hadn't been that long and the actual game rolled over to turn 54 seven hours prior to that... The submitted turns represented on the page are since yesterday night and it still says "Next turn due: 10:05 GMT on Friday January 16th"

I've slapped messages all over the website now telling people to ignore it. Hopefully everyone can cope without the website for a little while. I'm hoping it'll be hours, but if it's still broken tomorrow I'll contact tech support, or investigate more thoroughly whether it might somehow be my fault.

In the meantime, trust the e-mails, because they're still reliable. And remember that the website being down doesn't mean the server's down! I'd hate for people to stale because they thought everything had stopped.

Ha! I'm a genius. I fixed it. I say I'm a genius - I've no idea why I had to change things, but I googled the error message and apparently I had to change the ftp calls to passive mode, so I did, and now it works. So really I'm a google monkey.

It is still a bit mysterious why I had to change things, but it could easily be either an increase in security here, or some change in the web server settings.

Ok, THX. Now you can leave for the leave you intended to take (you did, right?), so it can act up again in the night... :p

Great, the gameinfo pages seem to have been updated.
Though the score tables are still lagging, perhaps that'll solve itself?
