Altho you might want to make that 5 line and add the line to grant it as a god only to the nation you are playing.

Of course you could also go nuts and throw in all kinds of stuff like free spells, gem making ability, summon ability, etc.

And you also could use any creature in the game (demons, devils, horrors, gnomes) or even add your own little image from some other game and build its abilities from scratch.

You could even put in a picture of yourself and build a god around that. :)

Aie ! Don't tempt me :D Look at me playing god. Sorry pretender !

Well I didn't intend to cheat the game. I was just wondering if, at one time, you can morph / transform / reborn your pretender into something else.

I never play blood nation. The fountain was only to provide for youth boots and earth bleeding stones.

So I wondered : is there a spell, probably in the blood line, to transform your pretender ?

Like : if you take the old witch, you can twiceborn and voila you have better characteristics

Or the nature spell transformation : but it didn't work with fountain...

In many B series movie, the very bad guy, be it a sceptre, a defeated vampire, a shadow, etc.. tries to return to power by some dark casting and regain its lost strenght.

I thought it could be thematic for blood or death strong pretenders to find a *hugely/insanely costly* spell that could turn you into something else.

Why not enable to wish for it otherwise ?

I gather from your answers that twiceborn and transform are the sole possibilities ? And don't work with fountain...
What about 'soul control' or ankh thing that send you back once you're killed ? Seems far fetched :(

Do you think it could be possible to add a new spell that turns you into something else, like giving a body to the spirit that inhabits that old sphynx. Through the very low cost of a few hundred slaves, but who cares if the great moloch takes body !

Or a polymorph self spell, like, say, 9 astral or something (water ?) to change body and turn into a monster ?

You can have someone cast Life After Death in a battle, or wield the Ankh, and anything that does should be turned into a soulless, while keeping magic paths. It's got low HP and MR 5 or something, so it's probably not what you're looking for.

Transformation is pretty awful because it can just kill you. I tried it in a luck-3 province, I had the Chalice to heal any feeblemind, and ... death.

I think just letting the FoB move around without changing anything else would be trickier than you think.

Still easy, but not 4 lines easy.

You can always post the 4 lines and prove me wrong though.

hehe I think Sombre is right.. no way to remove an #immobile tag without doing quite some other line over also :D.
Also if he doesn't already use a mod (and it's not mentioned I think) he can't even do that.. and if he needs to start a new game anyway then he can just take another chassis.

True, but once turned into a soulless the Transformation spell will work. The Transformation spell is risky, but a pretender can always be called back by priests. Once transformed into another creature the pretender can cast Twiceborn and thus become the desired WightMage.

I wouldn't recommend this scenario unless you feel comfortable winning the game.

Hmm let me get back with you on that. :)
This works with most gods.
#modname "mygod"
#newmonster 2999
#copystats 462
#mapmove 50

It ends up looking like a chinese new years dragon but its a manticore that can move 50. Apparently #mapmove after copying stats isnt enough to knock out #immobile. I will try some other things.

Is shapechange cheating?

#modname "mygod"
#newmonster 2999
#copystats 656
#shapechange 462#

Select the Manticore and you get a fountain of blood that looks like a chinese dragon and can change into a manticore to move. :)
Of course if you want it to look like a fountain then you need to add #copyspr 656 after the copystats.

In version 3.20 you got one that looked like a red blanket of some sort.

Not sure what it would look like with other versions.

Transformation does not work on inanimates and/or undead.

True. But you could stick the artifact Blood Pebble Armor on it, thus transforming it to a Troll eventually (it's even blood path.) You could then do Transformation or Twiceborn or Life After Death on the Troll form.

Or you could, you know, just not move your inanimate pretender :-)

Re: How can I transform my pretender ?

Interesting ideas - most of the immortals are inanimate, or undead.
However, hso sien (whatever her name) is immortal for TC - and as I recall she even comes with
nature.

Does the immortal tag survive transformation I wonder?

The Phoenix pretender is also immortal. What happens if the Phoenix casts transform?

I do believe I'm going to try that.
