Not really. You can ram them against a building and they will demolish it and get stuck (nearly always, especially if stone buildings) in the ruins. They behave exactly like every other vehicle in this regard. Game wise it does not make any difference if it is a pick up or a D9.

Hum... so i must be lucky, i don't usually have my dozers stuck in buildings, i think its easier to get immobile on stone, wood is rather fragile :D

Engineer tank class clears D/T better than Mine-clear tank class

Or vice versa mineclear tanks are useless ;)

Personally I prefer engineer vehicles to mine clearing ones.
Engineer vehicles generally have a dozer blade rather then a flail or roller thus get bonus to their front hull armor, particularly VS HEAT ammo (i.e. the hordes of RPG's the AI tends to have).

Shouldn't the flails or rollers provide the same extra protection from HEAT rounds? IIRC, the Israeli Merkava has chains dangling from the turret overhang specifically to provide protection from HEAT warheads that might otherwise hit the vulnerable turret ring.

Before posting, it would have been easier to open up Mobhack and actually have a look at some Mineclearing vehicles. This would have answered your query in just a few seconds.

E.g. see the USA OOB, units #194, 196, 197, 198, 199, 616, 653, 685, or USSR OOB - e.g #491, 492 etc.

Easily found by selecting File-> Database Check Utilities, then pressing the Unit Checks button, and then selecting unit class 36 in the Find Units tab, or entering mine into the search box if you did not know the class number.

Compare and contrast the front HEAT armour of these units with the standard gun versions.

From the newest patch of SPWW2:

It seems reasonable to assume that they will make this change to SPMBT in the next patch. As of now the engineer vehicles have no special demolishing powers.

I'd better keep my 120mm guns firing on those buildings then. :)
