Things would be different if the VPs for flags were much higher and tied with extra points for repairs.

This is where I am right now. I've made the transition and haven't played verse the AI in months. However, the campaigns are what I miss as well.

I am itching to play a campaign, but unable to buy the CD version yet, so for now, I am forced to fight single battles. <Sign> :(

I'll get it sometime soon though, and when I do, you can bet I'll be throwing the gauntlet at a few of my opponents. :)

I'm on game 3 of my first campaign battle. It is different. I got the advantage in the first game and hurt my opponent bad, but came up short of the victory. So in the second battle, I got out thought and ended up with a draw, since my Opponent hid his high value units and used AH's to kill my armor. i eneded up with ALL the flags, but a marginal loss. This game I beefed up my AD and I'm holding off his Apache's, sorta.

I'm a planner, and even when my plan falls apart, I still have something to work with. So for me, the multiple battles presents a challenge, since you never know what you will get next time. Sort like that famous box of chocolates.
I like it, although the next time I want less points. After buying 200 of the most expensive units in the US Army's tpy box, I still had points left over. So I couldn't expand my core.
Map are WYSIWYG, I might try custons next time. I am player 2, so I'm not sure what happens when the game is set-up the first time.
