AS Lanka you may try Bless->attack. You should have good bless and your blood-monks can thug in a pinch - especially if you give one of them some cheap weapon...

Re: Bopping Blood Bullies

So, to summarize:

B1's are somewhat useless in defence, but best options are:

1) Attack *2 then Leech (especially for raiding thugs).
2) Retreat, then get glorious revenge
3) Blood hunt with better troops that can bring the pain

I like option 1, unless ghouls / wolves / barbarians attack. I'm thinking 2 is the best "general" option, with a transition to 3. In any case... thanks for the help!

If you have a little pd, you might as well cast imps, imps, then retreat. From the back of the battlefield of course.

Won't "Imps, imps" leave you with close to 200 fatigue, meaning you're unlikely to recover and flee before the PD is routed?

I wouldn't retreat, that's an invitation to get killed by assassinations. It's tricky business. Depends how expendable your hunters are and how important it is not have your blood slave flow interrupted.

An expensive solution is to blood hunt inside a castle. A cheaper one is to bring a thug or anti-thug of your own into the province. If you don't care about your blood hunters or losing the blood hunting province for a turn or two, then either 1) or 2) is good.

Ah yes that's true. 1x imp then retreat then I guess.
