Re: I need Information

I've been working with Marcello on this. One contact he has was a former DDR tank commander and it's becoming increasingly clear that for DDR BM-12/BK-14M may have been as good as it got though we are still looking into that. For "Warsaw pact" in general it's looking more and more that the best combination available up to at least the mid 1990's was BM-15/BK-14M and the next set of OOB's will reflect that once all the research is done. I think what's happened in the past is ammo has been doled out by date of issue rather than who got what and there are a LOT of things only the Russian had in that time period ( and beyond ) .If you look in the DDR OOB now ( and a lot of others ) you will see far more potent ammo that was actually used. In the case of DDR weapon 102 shows what would be close to a BM-29/ BK-27 combination that are nearly twice as powerful as was actually available.

OFF TOPIC... does anyone have any info on how the Russian Chemical teams are armed in reality.

Good luck with that prompted by the recent amusing going ons with Indian T-90S & the fact TI is French with big compatability problems & a dislike for heat thought I would look at T-72 operators to see what they actually got. Laugh what a can of worms trying to sort fact from fiction is a mare, time involved to sort out is way above my intrest level.

Hallo
100-JPrSv is not copy of BK-5M but it is indigenous munition. Production started probably in 1961 (at least I have not find younger production info). Its penetration is worse than BK-5M (38) but it seems better than basic BK-5 (28) and informations varies between 300 and 340 mm.
