Becomes even more of a mare with vision aids in MBT as it should getting units into trouble. Finding the LOS is not what you expected is all part of the game go for the obvious spot or for safety whatever risk the dodgy one only to find its no good. Makes the game better your looking at the map or that hill & decide should be able to see ... only to discover you cant. grrrr WW2 not so bad modern & ATGMs hes gone past by the time your in position to fire:doh: Makes you appreciate the speed of vehicles so you can relocate or try the adjacent one. |
Re: LOS woes
The code is randomized to ensure that sometimes a treed hex does not block LOS. Not all forested areas are dense brush with 500 pine trees per acre

Re: LOS woes
If you have scouts sneak them around have then check out actual areas that are good LOS spots ... then have them light a fire to mark it .. then move up your units that need this good los. Also, of course have each unit check out its location (the hex its in) to see its LOS .. this is tedius but enables you to find a definite advantageous los. Don't for get the Right Mouse Click as mentioned above. And I guess you move your mouse cursor over hexes prior to moving to see different heights prior to moving and what types of heights are near seemingly good Los areas..The button underprefernces is a gem to that shows 360 los...uh as mentioned above ..
