Re: Full (or near full) screen Win 7 fix

I did have the lesser scrambled palette issue(smoke would appear blueish with red specks and the in game tool bar would have a blue background) occasionally with Vista. I would just hit the Windows key to minimize the game screen to the task bar, then re-expand the window. It would occur about a half dozen times or so over the course of a battle. Nothing definitive to know why it occurred. It would happen on both the player or AI turns. It could have been something to do with refresh rates (just a hunch). That "method" of working around it stopped when I upgraded to Win 7. This was where the game opening screen (not the game options screen, it was always fine)would be almost unreadable. Never had any luck with any of the Windows property compatibility tweaks, and I must have tried them all. |
Re: Full (or near full) screen Win 7 fix
When you say "the game opening screen" do you mean the intro screen that appears before the main game screen appears that has the Shrapnel Logo at the bottom and "The Camo Workshop" at the top ?
If yes, that's been an issue for some players using Vista and/or Win 7 for quite awhile and we recommend it be turned off in game options Don |

This is also the first screen that has the color distortions appear in without the explorer fix implemented (in full screen, windowed works fine, just too small for my old eyes). |
Re: Full (or near full) screen Win 7 fix

However new pc win 7 64 and i tried the win7fix file, seems to do something for mbt but nothing for ww2. sorry for the silly question but is there something i change for ww2 in the cmd and if so how?

open & edit it in notepad so it points to WW2 not MBT should be pretty obvious important use basic editor only not word proccesor hence notepad or similar |
