did a search on gifting planets.....

for in the subject...

question.... when you gift a planet does the population on that planet change to the person you are gifting the planets to..... so they become domed...

No, it just changes ownership, along with everything on the planet (population, units on surface but not those in orbit). No change in population species nor dome status.

'just click your heels together three times and say 'there's no place like dome...'' - simcity 1 pack that allowed you to use three different new graphics for your city, including lunar.

Population is a factor that needs to be considered trading atmosphere compatible planets is a good way as is making sure all planets have max populations via proper trasnporting.
