I suppose the "years" part really puts it into perspective ito what needs to be done. By the time it is complete Android would be old news.

Would that we had a magical button we could push that allowed us to convert code for one platform to "perfect" code for another.
That is (more or less) what a compiler (if you know what those are) does, and creating them is more art form then simple coding.
Then again it would put several hundred thousand programmers world wide out of work.
