The maximum a unit can achieve is about 120, but since higher experience levels are much harder to attain - those would be rare.

Re: Questions of a Newbie

I did a little test, and managed to purchase units with starting experience of up to 140.

I simply turned off the historical training preference, set the quality to 120 and purchased US ranger scouts (formation experience modifier +13). Thus the units purchased had their starting experience in the 120-140 range, with the highest scores being exactly 140.

That said, I have no idea what are the practical possibilities of getting the experience beyond 120 in an actual campaign play. The highest experience rating I have managed to reach so far has been 116 in a French long campaign (Char B1 with 82 kills).

Hi,

thanks again for the answers - now it really looks that the AI gets new units tanks already twice from outside the map during a battle - they just appear from the edge of the map???

Re: Questions of a Newbie

Sometimes the AI keeps part of the force off the map in the beginning of the game, and they instead appear as reinforcements on some later turn.

If you are playing scenarios and campaigns, you can find also yourself receiving reinforcements during the game.

Does XP also increase the accuracy of shooting?

Re: Questions of a Newbie

Yes, experienced units tend to be more likely to hit the enemy with shooting.

They can also get quite nasty in close assaulting enemy tanks.

My units do not seem to be able to enter a hex with another unit of mine or a destroyed enemy unit - and they cannot spot further then the destroyed enemy untis...any solution for that?

Re: Questions of a Newbie

In order to move unit into a hex already occupied by another unit, hold the shift key on your keyboard and then clock on the hex where you want the unit to move.
