Re: Infantry Served Weapons and Organization.
Whops, meant M72 EC LAW Mk.I and M72 ASM RC as the designations, 66 KES 12 RAK being the ASM RC version.

Re: Infantry Served Weapons and Organization.
FDF buys FN SCAR for Special Jaegars: 300-500 rifles mostly for special forces, crisis management units and to some extent national defence. FN SCAR has the ability to use all the current optical aim assistance devices (red dot, vision enhancers).
Also in the newspiece: all Sako assault rifles model 95 are to be equipped with optical aims. http://www.hs.fi/kotimaa/a1424430676159 (in Finnish) |
Re: Infantry Served Weapons and Organization.
Well to follow up "dmnt"...
Always been a fan of FN and H&K but Finland has made the buy as noted in the previous Post. They will also include a grenade launcher as well and as noted in the below ref. I think with the lead time of this order and size, I would think the Finnish Spec Op units should have these by JUL 2015. http://www.janes.com/article/49545/f...special-forces Next the Russians are back pedaling on earlier reports they had selected the AK-12. It seems we're right back where we started with the competition still between the AK-12 & A-545. I feel the bottomline here will be a split order to keep both manufacturers operating. But whata I know? http://www.janes.com/article/49157/r...d-a-545-rifles We've been hearing the military might go to a heavier cal. sidearm than what we carry maybe it'll be the new BARRETA in a .40 Cal? Makes a good "home defense" weapon though I think I would still prefer a 1911 .45 Cal myself. Anyway take a look... http://www.janes.com/article/49203/i...iker-fired-apx Well it appears we're about to catch with the rest of the world in the actual tubes we use in the 60mm, 81mm and 120mm mortar category. http://www.armyrecognition.com/weapo...st_cannon.html The French are still on track with the MMP ATGW as MBDA completes the 2nd test firing of the weapon. It's a "shoot and forget" weapon that will replace the MILAN systems of the French Army. http://www.janes.com/article/48940/f...-firing-trials http://www.army-technology.com/news/...issile-4514425 Have a great end of week! It'll be my "Hump Day" but I'm still waiting to see that camel!?! Regards, Pat |

Re: Infantry Served Weapons and Organization.
Well some near term item(s) to come or go...
GERMANY: Could be giving up on the "G36" rifle, not sure of effects currently within the game and a little beyond where I venture in this realm of equipment. http://www.janes.com/article/50946/g...future-for-g36 FYI/TRACK. LEBANON: You'll be seeing items for this country just about across the board from me. France is definitely one of the largest contributors to the rearming of Lebanon, this just one example of it. http://www.armyrecognition.com/april...nese_army.html ALSO BGM-71 TOW II already delivered as well. http://www.armyrecognition.com/june_..._30206151.html BOTH ARE ADDS. PHILIPPINES: Their Marines will be retiring the M-14 sniper rifles with the new M40 sniper rifles as used by the USMC. The deal was done with the exception of "how many", it's possible they have them now based on the date of the article. I would think they'll be receiving the A5 as the A3 was withdrawn in 2009. http://www.armyrecognition.com/janua..._platform.html TRACK/ADD. RUSSIA: Kalashnikov unveils its first RWS. http://www.janes.com/article/52459/k...-its-first-rws TRACKING. SOUTH AFRICA: Making those 40mm grenades juusst a little bit better, http://www.janes.com/article/50955/a...-40-mm-grenade FYI. Just a taste and a little clean up. Regards, Pat |
Re: Infantry Served Weapons and Organization.
This next good general information for the future, however, it's what's in the last para that might be of immediate value for next years patch.

Re: Infantry Served Weapons and Organization.
Unfortunately no. They set it up enough (article) to give you the gist of the topic in the hopes you'll subscribe. However this is enough to be useful for my purposes as I'll start looking into my other sources for further information. Sorry.

Re: Infantry Served Weapons and Organization.
Unless you find it by down loading from the below ref. possibly the middle PDF download nothing from MOD yet to include the section the next was taken from though I was surprised to see it as a standard small unit issued weapon.
http://www.army.mod.uk/structure/33449.aspx http://www.army.mod.uk/equipment/23225.aspx I'll stay on it as at some point this would lead to game based changes. Maybe you can look into the game units if they comply to the JANE'S weapons compliment as noted in Post #16? Regards, Pat |
Re: Infantry Served Weapons and Organization.
Posted elsewhere but certainly belongs here as well.
