you need to MOUNT the drives each time you run Linux (usually by a bat file/script during the boot process). You will need to do that each time since you are booting from a CD and the file you would need would be loaded on the CD to read from as it boot. Linux takes me back to the DOS days, and I doubt that your CD would have updated drivers for your vid card.
I would suggest getting a removable HD bay and just load it on a spare drive. Good luck friend. |

Yeah, the GF4 is too new and I doubt workable linux drivers are out.. but you never know
And I still couldn't get access to my HD... which is kind of why I wanted the CD in the first place(to access the HD without needing it to boot). When I tried the hda thing, I got some error like I wasn't allowed or something. Ive been too busy to mess with it but any help would be appreciated |
