Re: Disable MOVE RADIUS in Prefences
Lord knows how many times in a single battle I pushed that poor bastard, the dot button. It is THAT invaluable, once those bullets start flying, and drivers start crashing on walls. One little piece of ingenuity it is indeed.
A unit's LOS may put the shadows back on the map, but I will always click on other units that beg my command, and that will bring the beauty back. Oh, and the easiest scenario on WW2 is Graftstorm Raid, by the way... :D |
Re: Disable MOVE RADIUS in Prefences
I still use move radius and hex grid after years of play. I just like it.

Re: Disable MOVE RADIUS in Prefences
I tend to agree that once you gain experience, you can usually figure out the move radius for each type of unit and the respective terrain. After awhile of playing, you can even estimate just by looking at the remaining movement points.

Re: Disable MOVE RADIUS in Prefences
Yup, after nearly one week without Move Radius, I'm glad to say that I'm still standing by my points above.
I must say I have learnt unit's estimate radius faster compared to when radius is on. But what's most important is that I have become more wary of my units movements, be it their route, or how much they should advance in a single turn. I no longer succumb to unspent bright hexes :) Cheers |
Re: Disable MOVE RADIUS in Prefences
At least, movement radius is usefull to move the faster a group of vehicles while being still in formation. I think it's not easy to see what vehicles is the slower (to copy the speed on it), and what is the order of movements to prevent vehicles from slowing each other while crossing in same hexe.
