In 2011, in BTR-50 subject, I posted such drawing to compare internal arrangement: http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/attac...7&d=1319491530 I found it in some booklet I can't remember, but I should have it somewhere on a HD... Though I haven't ever came to idea to count men in Bradley and compare it with the game ;) |
Re: Bradley formations
HOWEVER
I've found this Concord's 1010 "M2/M3 Bradley", from which the drawing was taken, and photo captions say there: Quote:

Re: Bradley formations
........the Benning document is current,--Army Techniques Publication ATP 3-21.8 Infantry Platoon and Squad April 2016 so not something that was published in the early 80s. Under the section SURVIVABILITY.....it lists "10-Soldier gas particulate filter unit.)..
10......not 9, 8 or 7......10 It also says "Three, nine-man rifle squads make up the platoon’s dismounted element" and that = 27 Crews are three men except one of the four vehicles includes the unit commander. and that = 13 That's 40 men in 4 vehicles and unless the Benning document is pure propaganda that means in game there are 7 dismounts and 3 crew per vehicle and a 1-year-old document from the US Army trumps a 27 year old Concord publication published in 1990 . |
