Just checked - it allows saving as a scenario in an ongoing scenario. Will leave that in as a feature, A scenario designer may want to set up a situation, then play it a couple of turns till the desired point, then save off as the release article. or he may want to save snapshots and load those into the scenario editor to see what the opfor is doing, if he is playing the human side rather than playing it out AI v AI in testing.

Pressing that will allow you to save a game in progress as a scenario. Handy for scenario designers to craft a sceanrio as a "battle in progress"

Don

Amazing! The last time I checked, even bombardment & planes plotted in the saved game are carried over to the scenario.

I understand that new button is not for Campaigns. But I'm wondering if the original functionality (manual) will still be there for the saved-Campaign-session (which is then turned Scenario, edited, and put back as saved game) to be able to continue the campaign once the session finished at the last turn.

This is a very important mechanism to simulate extended combat Campaign with abstracted operational-strategic factors as I mentioned in posts 2, 3, & 5 above.

Not a fraction of a second did I think about this for cheating. What's the fun of that? This is a realistic game and that's what makes us play it. Cheating, might as well play arcade FPS shooters instead of this game.
