What does he prefer? Missiles, projectiles, or beams?

Exactly what i do. I always turn the Tactical Combat and press AUTO. I like to watch the battles myself. I do not do it when, for example, i attack a planet, a single primitive ship against my fleet etc.

I'm sure you have thought of this,
For his entertainment and practice with "Strategy" settings for you.The simulator would be ideal.

Actually, he prefers the WMG's of SEIII - remember that sound they made - he loves the sound, but from SEIV he likes the beam weapons - more color...

Never thought of the auto for him - I usually will do that if I slip and click Tac (instead of Strat( by mistake...

PS. Its kinda funny, but as long as Ive been playing SEIV, I've never used the simulator. I used to use it in SEIII all the time. I guess maybe I'll give it a whirl...
